Like a shield against Internet traps!
Like a shield against Internet traps!

Many of the sneakiest and meanest attacks and tricks you'll face online are based on a technology called Javascript or possibly Flash. Noscript is a neat little tool that blocks all pages from being able to use either by default. A the bottom of your browser window is a little toolbar that shows you if anything's been blocked and lets you make permanent or temporary exceptions.

It's annoying at first only because all the sites you go to pretty much don't work. However, after a few days when you set the "Allow this page" for the sites you trust, it becomes less of an issue. And then, when you take a wrong turn on the net, the trap they set won't be able to do anything to you!
