The Internet Archive is building a digital library of Internet sites and other cultural artifacts in digital form. Like a paper library, we provide free access to researchers, historians, scholars, and the general public.

The important thing about this site is that it archives sites at several points in time. That means if the content you remember on a page is no longer there, perhaps the archive has a copy of it. This is useful for retrieving information that would be lost or previous versions of pages that have been replaced or taken down.
