My Book at last! After

  1. October 2021: The NSA pulls my clearance in retaliation for speaking out and writing a book
  2. May 2023: I submit my first revision of Are You Listening? to the NSA for my legally-required pre-publication review.
  3. Aug 2026: My 5th (and final) revision is finally cleared.

It's been a long and arduous journey spotted with some stiff disagreements about what the NSA is allowed to redact and what they should permit me to publish, but the bottom line is that it's finally done.

Sure, the Pre-pub office is generally professional and easy to work with, but there was never a point that I felt like the NSA really made the process clear and simple enough to encourage publishing – rather the opposite. The fact is, most people aren't going to talk about their time at the NSA because the risk is just too high.

Regardless, I pressed on and here we are. I'm looking for a publisher or a literary agent, but if you just want to learn more (and get a copy of my free "Reflections on an NSA Career" mini-book), click here:
