Google Gets the Point, Stops Data Rape

Thursday, March 15th, 2007 (No comments yet) Big Business, Privacy
I have always loved Google, but I also understand why they were listed in the Top 10 Worst Consumer Privacy Infringers. I'm happy to report that Google has blogged that they will beging to anonymize data after a period of 18 to 24 months. That means that after a 2 year period, even if the government requests the data, it won't be there. Thank goodness Google is paying attention. It's a shame to see an otherwise good service ruined by poor privacy practices.
